Canterbury

Canterbury Museum’s historic brass bell, once part of Robert Falcon Scott’s Antarctic expedition, is echoing at Hagley Oval this summer. The bell rings five minutes before play during international cricket matches. It has already rung out at clashes between White Ferns and Pakistan, Blackcaps and Pakistan T20 matches, and will again at the second test between New Zealand and Australia.
